Building Member Value in a Post Pandemic World

Join Pete Zimek, CEO of Novi AMS for a deep dive into how the pandemic has affected our organization and how associations are emerging from the pandemic to serve members in smarter, leaner, and more mission-focused ways. We’ll start with an examination of membership trends and finish with a group discussion of the paradigm shifts needed to create the future.

After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the leadership traits that served their organizations well during the pandemic and how they may continue to spark innovation moving forward.
  • Think more creatively and more intentionally when developing everyday member outreach programs.
  • Recenter members and membership staff on the "why" of the organization.

Format: Both in-person and virtual
Domain: 6 - Member and Stakeholder Engagement and Management

Pete Zimek, CAE is the CEO of Novi AMS. During an association’s strategic planning, Pete was “voluntold” to build a different type of AMS - one that truly integrates with QuickBooks and one that works the way associations work. Today, Novi AMS serves over 250 associations and is the highest rated AMS on ReviewMyAMS.com. Even though he’s allergic to milk, Pete once owned two Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops. A graduate of the University of Florida, Pete is a two-time recipient of the “Gator 100” for leading one of the 100 fastest growing companies owned or led by a UF Alum.

 Charities

The VSAE Community Service Committee has selected Ronald McDonald House as the charity raffle recipient this month. The Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville is the only organization that provides a temporary home-away- from-home for families whose children are receiving treatment for a serious illness or injury in Charlottesville. In an effort to lessen the burden, reduce stress, keep the family intact, and enhance the quality of life for these families, we provide affordable housing in a caring home-like atmosphere.

The VSAE Community Service Committee has selected Soles4Souls as the charity raffle recipient this month. Soles4Souls helps get new shoes and clothing to people in crisis situations, freeing up financial resources they can use toward other needs.
