9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Scenario Planning for Innovation and Agility COVID, the economy, global challenges, technology, politics…we’ll look ahead and assess the future landscape and the ways it may affect your organizations, clients and members, and employees, with group exercises where we model several of these priorities into a set of future states and discuss their potential impacts. We’ll also examine what it takes to be an agile organization and how to build that into our culture and standard operating procedures. Lastly, we’ll discuss how we get our boards to embrace, support and practice foresight and agility moving forward.

1:30 - 4:30 p.m. - Taking Stock with a Human Needs Assessment Reflecting on the current state of employees and volunteers– energy and engagement, attitude and mindset, needs and aspirations – can be important framing for the future. We’ll identify questions to ask internal stakeholders to clarify and validate our leadership perspectives. We’ll also explore developing and communicating a shared vision, facilitating staff and volunteer participation and empowerment, decentralized decision-making, and more.

Each participant will conduct their own “personal SWOT” and map their best opportunities going into 2023 to leverage their best leadership from a place of high emotional and strategic engagement.

John has more than two decades of experience in leadership and team development, facilitation, strategic planning, and communications. He has worked in academia and for Fortune 500 corporations. He founded Floricane in 2008 after a decade of leadership development, facilitation and strategic communication work for Richmond-based Luck Companies.
