Agenda

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

 9:00 a.m. - Opening Remarks

 9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Scenario Planning for Innovation and Agility

COVID, the economy, global challenges, technology, politics…we’ll look ahead and assess the future landscape and the ways it may affect your organizations, clients and members, and employees, with group exercises where we model several of these priorities into a set of future states and discuss their potential impacts. We’ll also examine what it takes to be an agile organization and how to build that into our culture and standard operating procedures. Lastly, we’ll discuss how we get our boards to embrace, support and practice foresight and agility moving forward.

12:15 - 1:15 p.m. - Networking Lunch

 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. - Taking Stock with a Human Needs Assessment

Reflecting on the current state of employees and volunteers– energy and engagement, attitude and mindset, needs and aspirations – can be important framing for the future. We’ll identify questions to ask internal stakeholders to clarify and validate our leadership perspectives.  We’ll also explore developing and communicating a shared vision, facilitating staff and volunteer participation and empowerment, decentralized decision-making, and more.

 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Reception

 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. - Dinner

 9:00 - 10:30 p.m. - Dessert & Cocktails

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. - Breakfast

 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Your Personal Leadership SWOT

Taking stock at a personal leadership level to truly understand your own orientation at this intersection of disruption and future possibility is how we’ll close out the retreat. Each participant will conduct their own “personal SWOT” and map their best opportunities going into 2023 to leverage their best leadership from a place of high emotional and strategic engagement.
