A SIG-a-Palooza is a collection of small Shared Interest Group (SIG) meetings. SIGs are member-led groups organized around areas of interest. They offer a forum for peer-to-peer learning in a small group atmosphere. SIGs are a great way for association executives and other leaders to learn from colleagues about the issues relevant to them. If you've never been to a SIG meeting, now is the time to try one out. The SIG-a-Palooza is open to all, including Associate members and guests. See below for a list of current SIGs. Contact the VSAE office at (804) 747-4971 if you are not already a member of a SIG and would like to be. You may be in as many SIGs as you'd like.

 

Associate Member

For Associate Members in various roles, who wish to share sales and marketing best practices as a supplier to the group.

Association CEOs

For CEOs of associations. Discussion topics include staff development, board relations, legislative issues, technology, and association resources.

 

Association Management Companies
For executives of firms that provide management and specialized administrative services to trade associations and professional societies.

 

Communications & Marketing
For association professionals with both internal and external communications responsibilities (including electronic communications).

 

Government Affairs
For executives who lobby or are otherwise involved in association advocacy efforts.

 

Meeting Planner
For association professionals who are responsible for meeting planning within their organizations.

 

Senior Staff
For executives who deal with organization-wide issues like strategic planning, staff management, and organization culture.
