C arol Hamilton helps associations become more strategic and innovative. She provides organization development consulting, meeting design and facilitati on, and training, to organizations. She has expertise as an innovator leadi ng groups applying human centered design to program and organizational chal lenges. She led two higher education associations in their adoption of onli ne learning, including scenario based e-learning courses, webinars and mult i-day online conferences. While at NAFSA, she led the team that conceptuali zed an online competency assessment that won an innovation grant from the A SAE and was recently launched by the association. Carol analyzed business f easibility and strategy for new offerings and developed business plans for promising programs. Carol has worked in the association and nonprofit secto r for over 20 years. Carol speaks frequently on association learning and in novation topics including leading sessions at Great Ideas, ASAE’s Annual Co nference and Idea Swaps. She graduated from Swarthmore College and has her Masters in Organization Development from American University.

Hanover Safe Place is a non-p rofit organization that provides confidential services to persons experienc ing domestic or sexual violence in Hanover County, VA and the Town of Ashla nd. Included in these services are a free and confidential 24-hour crisis h ot line, emergency shelter, support groups and case management.
