The future will not take care of itself, so this is one of the most important questions that board presiding officers and chief staff executives must answer in the coming months. And here's another one: will association boards continue to orient their work toward what they think they know from the past, or will they fully embrace the duty of foresight and focus their attention on pursuing intentional learning with the future? 

This provocative session will explore why boards are doing the wrong work today and why foresight is the future of governing for building both high-performing boards and thrivable organizations. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss governing next practices, resources and tools that they can bring back to their boards following this seminar.
