Seminar - Speak Smart - Business Presentation Skills

Speaking in front of any group can be a terrifying experience for many people, even professionals. However, the ability to deliver effective presentations to a variety of business audiences is a critical executive, management and leadership skill. The Business Presentation Skills workshop will teach individuals at all levels to prepare and deliver presentations that are well organized, dynamic, and motivational. Whether it’s through sales presentations, speeches, one-on-one meetings – or just serving a customer, the ability to connect and effectively communicate with your audience is critical. This module will teach essential communications skills everyone needs to transfer knowledge, deliver customer service, inspire others, and get results.  

Lunch - Culturetopia: Creating a High Performance Organization 

This presentation is an introduction to Jason Young’s innovative perspective on how to create and sustain a culture of care and accountability where people can do their best work. A wide range of cultural factors combine to drive the behavior of managers and those employees who do the real work of serving customers and making products. Jason shows how companies can create a high-performance culture that will produce the desired performance outcomes in productivity, profitability, employee retention, and customer satisfaction. The key is intentionally identifying and developing the essential factors that impact performance for any organization: engaged leadership, accountability, team alignment, and empowerment. These are the elements that truly define great leadership and organizational culture that have the greatest impact on results.  Jason uses his experience as a manager, trainer, and consultant to dozens of leading companies to develop the concept of Culturetopia: the ultimate high-performance workplace. In this presentation, Jason will provide practical, easy to implement guidance to the key determinants that make a healthy, productive, and profitable culture of any team or organization.

• Payment can be made by credit card using our online registration link above or by mailing a check payable to VSAE using the printable registration form.

• A replacement from the same organization may attend the lunch if the member is unable to attend. Please contact the registrar for assistance.

• Staff & Non-Member Attendance. Staff of a member or a non-member is limited to attending 3 meetings per year.

• Luncheon Pass. A member's “Get Out of Jail Free” pass is only worth $14 and is therefore not valid for on-site registrations.

• Cancellation Policy.

• Pre-registrations for lunch who cancel after Tuesday before the meeting at 5:00 p.m. or fail to attend will be invoiced for a no-show fee of $14.

• No refunds for cancellation.

• Substitutions are allowed.
